Well thats not the way i see it. The atc were 3 wheelers and a whole different stories. Mine only had 4 forward gears and 1 reverse. Mine was pure utility with the squared off plastic. Now if some of you would reply with what type your talking we all might know. ATV MAN mine did not go past 20. Theres no way in hell it would either without a gear change. Like i said 12/48. Geared way oo low. And that was stock too. Its very possible that differnt years had different gearing and different plastic along with differently tuned engines. But like i said its not going over 20mph. Mine also had the outward cylinder and front and rear racks. Had no tork whatsoever and my brothere moto 4 yamaha 80 would do circles around it. It wore out fast and was always breaking down.

Are you retarded? we are talking about the TRX 125 not a ATC125. The TRX was a 4 wheeler. My cousin TRX 125 is still going strong (1985 model) Had to replace metal gas tank due to rust, Honda'a biggest mistake, while my Suzuki LT-125 (1984 Model) had a plastic tank.

Do you want yor *** beat? I didn't have an atc. Some other person was talking about their atc 125 with high and low. Back up and read the other posts. I don't know why the hell someone posted something about an atc when we were talking about quads. But i own used to own a Fourtrax Honda 125. is it ever crossed your mind to tell us whether you were talking about the sport or utility. The sport wasn't really a sport but sportier than a utility. And yes we all know that you owned a 125 that was still running hard. Bless your little heart.

You have to keep in mind the recommended ages for different size ATV's based on industry standards. According to the standard, only people 16 years and older should be allowed to ride an ATV with an engine greater than 90cc. (Yes, according to the industry, many a kid is riding an ATV that is classified much too large for them.) With the 125 engine being so close to the 90cc limit, I suspect Honda thought it best to build only larger
models that would more likely fit those who are truely 16 years and older.

Or in other words, make it appear more obvious to stupid parents that Junior doesn't fit well on a 300.

Even though they where slow, and had no suspention. i had alot of fun on mine. I used to jump it in the sand and it would land very smooth.I used to laugh at the people on their 4 wheel drives because they where stuck in the snow, when i could just stay right on top of it. I'd say its a good bike to learn on, but once your skills increase. Sell it!! because they you'll start to abuse it and cause alot of damage.

Your TRX must have had a screw limiter & you never let it out(My LT125 was let out)
My cousins TRX 85 Honda ran with my LT125 84model & I raced a TRX 86 model, both ran side by side to my LT. My LT was clocked OVER 40mph. And my LT had tons of power, I'd climb hills that 225 MOTO 4's would climb, so steep if you didn't lean over the bars your *** was gonna flip. It would spin up it but made it everytime.

I know what your talking about on the trottle part and mine was adjusted out. I think the reason mine might have been so slow is because of the 48 tooth rear sprocket. Sounds like the owner before me wanted some low end. First gear was low.
