Mismatched tire size on 2001 Fourtrax 4x4
#1
I just noticed that my local dealer put two different size tires on the back of my 2001 Fourtrax 350ES 4x4. The left one is a 25x10-11 Mudlite and the right one is a 24x9-11 Mudlite. I haven't used the quad for any great distance, probably 10 miles. I suspect that the different sized tires may cause damage - anyone know how severe this could be?

Got to watch those dealers every move!!!
The larger tire will give a higher effective gearing than the smaller, so it will pull toward the side with the smaller one...but it shouldn't do any "damage".

The only way that would make sense is if your front two had the same problem. One 25 and one 24. Other then that your dealer screwed up! Take it back and get it fixed, then have him sell that tire to you REAL cheap for replacement for the front.

Make sure they go to the correct size whether it is 24 or 25 which ever tire they replace. If it is supose to be 25 and they put 24" or vi versa you will have issues when you put it in 4wheel drive. enless your bike does its gear reduction for differenent size tires front and back in the tranfercase, make sure they are the same size. 24"up front and 24" out back. Or 25" up front and 25" back. On my 420 I went fron 24" all the way around to 25" all the way. Just wish I had done it sooner. Love the extra ground clearance.
