if honda built a 650ex with reverse would you trade your 400ex in on it?I am looking for a new quad,i like the fact the raptor has reverse.I think over the long haul the 400 would cost less to own, maintance repairs etc.I plan on buying 1 or the other soon. I am afraid if i buy the 400 within 6 months i will want to start modded it.Next thing you know i will have as much money in it as the stock Raptor.I plan on keeping this bike 5 to 7 years. Any ideas or suggestions?

Oh that woudl be awesome. I'm a ds owner and i'm still die hard honda man. I love every thing about there quads..always top notch. It would HAVE to cross my mind to trade in the ds if honda really did step up and send out a 650cc 4stoke machine...wait what the hell am i saying...i love my ds , never trade off

Oh yes, of course. A 650cc 4-stroke engine in any chassis would be awsome and hard core. I was considering a XR650 engine in my 250X but decided not to because it was to expensive since I just busted my bike and all the money is going into repairs. A stock 400 compared to a 650 is...well...it doesn't compare at all to the perfomance you get. Good luck!

I'm not sure about the 650, I was looking for a xr500, xr600 or a 350x motor to put in my 250x. After some research I concluded it was not worth it. The 350x motor would work fine, I beleive all you have to do is modify one motor mount but the xr's are harder. You would have to relocate the motor mounts and have a custom exhaust made. So I decided to just doing everything that I can to the 250x motor. If someone can prove me wrong about the motors let me know! Anyways back to the subject, I would definitly by a 650ex w/reverse if they came out.
