Default 420 2X4 Tires

Reconranger, I think you had mentioned that you run Hole Shot radials on your 420? Am looking at putting radials on my wife's 2X4 rancher. Since it is a 2X4, I would like some suggestions for tires.

Riding is mostly trail, hard pack, gravel, rocky, some steep up and down, very little deep mud conditions, some snow and some marshy and wet trails. Would like to see something with good traction in the rear (maybe Mud Lite XTR), but don't nessasarlly need that in the front. Since the fronts are 12" rims, could try and pick-up a set of 12" stock rears off Rincon or Foreman and have the same all around. Again since it is a 2X4, a guy wouldn't be too concerned about keeping them the same height. Anybody have any suggestions would help.

I went with 25" Terracross on my 4X4, maybe they would be a good fit for the front. However if I stay with the 11" wheel in the rear, it is so hard to find a tire to fit.

Thanks anybody

That's one thing I hate, the rear rim is 11" It leaves you with less choices on tire selection.

One thing I do know is that Reconranger is your man for trail tires!!! He will help you out.

Get the wheel and tire package. If I were you as a starter Get the Maxxis Zilla they do make these tire for the stock rims but if you do get the Tire and Wheel package go with Maxxis Zilla or the Mudlite XTR. A plus on the Maxxis its very light!!! Right now I'm looking into Gorilla 27-10-12 and 27-12-12, Same for the Zilla but 28" since Zilla Runs a bit short and Maxxis Mud Bug. http://www.kgmotorcycletires.c...s_atv_tires_zilla.htm
