Default Trx 200sx Headlight power question

While riding the light for no reason sometimes gets really bright for a few seconds, then dimms down. Its almost like there is a loose connection or what ever powers them (brushes may be going) or something like that. I'm not really sure how it works. My battery is old and dead so no charge there. Is there anything that can be changed, updated or cleaned?

Thanks

Maybe the hi/low beam switch has a bad connection in it. Take it apart and clean it up.

If your lights get brighter when you are under power and dimmer with you are not under power, it might be that your rectifier is putting out power when you are on the gas, and less when you are not under a load. Could be??? I do think your battery is a problem!
