Honda or Polaris?

They would both do fine , the average guy looking to do some work and some trail riding will really not notice much a difference in the machines performance( SP vs. Ruby). The biggest difference will be ride quality the Polaris will have that hands down. Anytime a post is made with Honda and Polaris in it it is just matter of time before a fight breaks out. Personally speaking after owning Honda there is no way I could buy another after owning a couple Polaris machines. But the Rubicon seems to be liked by people on this forum. them. basically boil it down to better dealer service, and the best deal he can get. Dealer service is a huge issue, I have dealt with dealers that pretty much kicked me on the way out after laying down 5 grand plus for a new machine. But like i have said before anyone who has to choose between the Ruby and the Sportsman are very very lucky people. they are winning either way. Do not listen to the magazine's reviews, they will not give you the best idea of what each will do only who paid them the most advertising dollars.

I wasn't bashing the Rubicon in any way. I was just giving the poster something to think about with the tranny issue.
Rancheres: Have you ever done a search on your name? I just did, all you ever do is bash other peoples rides. You are a big waste of everyones time. It should be against the law for you to even look at a quad.

I love my Polaris' but am not blind to the fact that Honda builds a good product. I don't think you'd be disappointed with either a Honda or Polaris. In my opinion, it's going to come down to which has the features that appeal to the buyer. I don't think dependability or capability is a question with either brand.

Buckshotsoup, Every manufacturer makes a quad that is good for farm work and hunting. All the new quads are well built. Some have more features than others and some require more maintenance. If I was helping someone else pick a quad, and I knew he wanted a big one for farm work and hunting, I would also want to know the following:
-Is there price range?
-Does he want or need 4 wheel drive? (I would think so).
-Does he know if he wants an auto clutch or an automatic?
-Does he want it for any high speed riding?
-Does he want or need an extra plush ride?
-What kind of terrain will he be using it in?
-Is he extra hard on machinery?
-Is he into preventive maintenance?
When I had this information I could recommend a small group of quads. Then it would be up to him to test ride them all and decide which one he likes the best. All the information available can't compare to a test ride. We all like different things. Once he buys one, he will be happy with it unless it is a lemon, because he won't be comparing it; he'll just be riding.

Lets see, POLARIS= power, speed, good ride, go bout anywhere. HONDA= power, speed, good ride, go bout anywhere. Brothers got one and I got the other, 99% of the time there is not a nickels worth of difference in them. Both of ours are without any problems, He really likes my polaris, I may buy a honda next time, I just wish we had more choices. Both a great machines but you really need to ride them to decide for yourself.
