Hi, I have a 91 fourtrax 300 that I just replaced the carb on with an new aftermarket one.The new one appears identical to the factory Honda one including the jets.After installing it and a new choke cable with the mixture at about 2 turns out,it fired up fine but if the throttle is pushed quick it bogs and dies unless you release it back to idle,if the throttle is pushed slow it has a bad bog and then revs.I've checked the float level,needle & seat,pilot,main and idle jets all were fine,adjusted the needle clip in all positions,as well as the mixture screw from 1 turn all the way to where it was nearly falling out in 1/2 increments,air filter is clean,plug is ok,fuel flow is also fine but the issue remains.I put the old carb back on which has alot of wear as well as a area on the main body someone patched with jb weld,it runs better than the new one.Any tips??
