This is a new post on a new question on an ATV I have posted on before. My 86 TRX200sx is not showing fire at the plug and have about narrowed the problem down to the STATOR but am wondering if any of you wizards know how to test for a bad stator BEFORE tearing into the engine?

Work does not begin to explain!! Of course it is raining today, tom. so that puts a damper on my WORK. Great information and I am anxious to get started. will update as progress is made.
