Cool an extra 50 pounds is nothing. Anyway the bottom line is this..the 700xx is killer and I want one and will have one next year maybe in all red if they make it. I love my grizzly to death and will most likely be riding it 90% of the time but I still want the 700xx sitting in my garage. I think if a guy has the extra money I see no problem with owning two quads. I am an old school die hard honda man who has owned man many atc 250r three wheelers both air cooled and water cooled along with several 200x's and even a 350x and I loved them all, I need a honda sitting in my shop.

It's 505 WET. And it will kill a Raptor 700r, it's main competitor.

Exactly. If you have the money, spend it. I have a 3 ATV's in my garage right now. A 2008 400EX and 700xx, and a 2008 Wolverine 450. 2 dirt bikes, a 2007 Yamaha WR450F and a 2005 YZ250, and my street bike a 2008 Yamaha R1 and. I don't ride the dirt bikes much at all and the 400ex hasn't been ridden in months. But it's nice having something different for the times you want it.

ahh i see specs for it now yea 505 wet i watched a video on it and some1 said 505 dry....lol, as for "killing" a raptor 700 i dont think so....there both 686s and the raptor is lighter i GURANTEE it wont "kill" it in a drag race it might stay right with it or creep past it, if your just talking from your own experience then thats not doing much justice, comparing which atvs are faster is mostly bs and im tired of hearing about it wayyyy to many variables to try and compare things like that and just leads to who ever feels like arguing the most and whoever likes to defend there purchase to the death, im not downing the 700xx either...one bit, i love the bike and i think honda did a great job regardless of the fact alot people dont like them just because there different.

There are always variables in every situation. Yes they are both 686's. But facts are facts. Fact is, it makes more hp than the 700r and has a higher top speed than the 700r. In MY experience I have killed 700r's. Be it by one length or 5+. And with everyone saying it's a overweight pig that can't compete with the 700r makes it an even bigger accomplishment. Could it be the rider I was racing against? Possibly. But numerous times? Not likely that all were novice riders.

Like your opinion of what you own and your opinion of this one.

Ive been doing research on this for 2 weeks and Ive been all over the web and and it appears that the 700xx is a faster machine...by how much? I dont know but Most are saying it is faster, but thats not whats important to be..I just want it for what it is. I cant think of a better sport quad for fast paced trail riding. I would go test ride one right now but I'm afraid if I do I'll be leaving the dealership with it in the back of my truck.

I've been a reader, but never a poster for over 3 years now. I have noticed that reconranger pretty much bashes everything all the time. I do not think there has been one post from him where anything useful has been added. I know I'll get flamed for this post but the truth is the truth. I take his input with a grain of salt. It really does not mean much at all to me. And probably 99% of the people that read it.

Just for the heck of it I mounted up my GPS and did a high speed run. Top of 5th I hit 81mph!!! Took less than 1000ft to hit top speed. There may be more, but I don't think it can be much at all. Sounded like I was running out of gear. I know I was definitely out of road!

Lol.... No bro your alright, And yes recon is a tough cookie but his unique perspective motivates me to dig that much deeper for info thus enabling me to get to the bottom of whatever I'm researching, I learn more faster and thats a good thing. I think reconranger is a blessing in disguise, I mean if you need to know what sucks about a machine he's your man
