bone stock (and with the shorter 6th gear than the 86 model) actually clocked at around ~71mph in 1988. the most scientifically objective test any mag has ever done on a real drag strip. i beleive it. i lived it. the Rs, the lts, the tecates, the quazillas and banshees were plentiful back then. never underestimate an R.

plus he said it will need steering stem bearings soon. so are those hard to change

I'd love to have an "R". My Dad had one a while back, but I never got the chance to ride it.
