Shift also has some nice zip off pants. If you look around, some of the online retailers are having sales for the fourth and last year closeouts. Riding pants have some stretch zones that help with comfort and range of motion when speeds pick up. they also tend to have better heat insulation than jeans or other street pants aound the legs(if you don't have them zipped off!) which is nice if the engine area puts out any heat. I ride fast most of the time and couldn't bear to ride in jeans, but I prefer riding pants even on those rare slow rides.

I live right by cabelas and not all there stuff is real expensive, but you really got to look through, find a occasional deal in the bargain cave too. but i just wear cheap jeans myself Im not big on spending money on clothes. my wife on the other hand loves to buy clothes.

 

Blue jeans for me, and I normaly ride 6-8 hours everytime I go riding. They have always been comfortable and cheap!

 

Took a trip to HM in May. I have a pair of Camo cargo pants and jeans that I wear. Never had a problem with Monkey Butt. Gold Bond may help keep things dry and cool as well. Especially the medicated, when you get some wind blowing, feel the burn baby.......

 

Jeans or Carhartts if its dry, nylon splash pants if there are puddles and otherwise dry, rain suit bottoms if we're bogging, and full rain gear if its raining. I've done hundreds of day trips and countless 3-4 day rides with no monkey butt (LOL 1st time i've heard of it!) I ride sat down and standing depending on the bumps, and just to stretch the legs, especially on a long ride.
