Default '01 250ex stalls

I have an 01 250ex that occasionally stalls while riding. Seems a loose wire that enters top of engine case under seat shorts killing engine. If wiggle the wire the bike will start again. Possibly a nuetral sensor because bike only starts in nuetral. Anybody had similar problem and best way to check sensor or wiring. Looks like you have to crack open the casing to get to the wire end.

Let me Know

I still don't have this problem solved. Anybody with 250ex experience have a suggestion?
