Thats bretty bad since a Eiger is a 376cc while the Foreman is a 475cc, but a OHC does make that much of a differance over the old tech OHV that Honda uses on there Utility ATVs. There are 500s that can give the 680 Rincon a run for there money.

Yeah, While I feel the foreman is a great machine, Honda has to be loosing customers daily because of their lack of keeping up. However, I have heard people say that the Foreman is still the top seller to the working crowd and that is how Honda wants to keep it. Old timers feel change is bad.

How much power an engine gives relative to its displacement affects durability and reliability. For example, piston aircraft engines generally make abhout 1 bhp for every TWO cubic inches of displacement. An IO-360 Lycoming is 360 cubic inches and is generally rated for 180 bhp. A Continental IO-470 makes about 235 - 260 hp.

When S&S first came out with their wonderful X-Wedge engines and they were available in different horsepower rating, I asked the engineer how much power they could get out of one of these units. He replied immediately without even pausing and simply asked, "How long you want it to run?"
