Drain tube

Drain tube
I'm putting the carb back on my 01 Rancher and notice something on the bottom that looks like needs to be connected to something.
After reading a service manual, it looks like it is supposed to be a drain tube.
I don't remember disconnecting that?
I think whoever had the 4x4 before me forgot to put some parts back on...
What do I need to do?

And in my second reply to this post I said what I needed to do. I was confused at first because I never disconnected a drain tube, didn't know how important it was....
Maybe you need to look at a service manual if you think there is more than one tube coming from the bottom of the carb..hah
I'd appreciate it if you just never reply to any of my posts again.

The tube gives the gas a place to go if the float bowl overflows, and it ensures the air above the gas in the float bowl is at ambient pressure.
A check valve is sometimes included so mud or water won't backwash into the carb.
Usually the hose just runs to the bottom of the quad, but mud folks tend to run it into the pod, or to a snorkle.
