the cv joint cover on my right axel came off today on my 700xx. does anyone know how to fix this? does it take a special tool to put the clip back on the boot? if so, where can i buy this?

 

The right side is easilly fixed .. The left side is the drive axle which is a little more work ..
And same as other Hondas the inside boot & joint must be removed to service outside boot ..

Is the boot and band in good shape .. If everything is in good shape clean the grease off the band you'll see there are 2 tabs that hold the band locked , bend out the tabs and lift the band end to make the band a little larger.. Clean all dirt and moisture out of the boot and re-pack with moly-grease ..
