Default 2003 Rancher ecu / shifting problem

Got the error code and it shows two flashes I have not checked all the connections but this has been a re-occuring problem for the last four months. The quad works great for about a week then shifting problem then was fine for several weeks then had problem more frequently until it will not shift but once or twice then two flash error code.

I was wondering WHERE to get a ECU and what if anything else it is called. Tried finding the part at bike bandit had no idea where or what they are calling it.

ANY help would be appreciated...(my closest Honda dealer is 1hr drive away!)

Code #2 is shift buttons "up/down" ... I would first clean and put dielectric grease on the coupler for the left handlebar switch ..

Here are the ESP component locations , and the tests for code #2 ..
