Default wont Idle without choke

I have a 04 rancher that has set for a while and getting around to getting it running again. It has to have full choke to start and once it warms up it still needs about 25% to 50% choke to run smooth. even when after riding if it falls below 25% choke it cuts out and dies.....Idle adjustment? of carb rebuit?

Im new to the ATV world and dont know where the Idle adjustment is.

Thanks in advance!

Pilot jet is clogged. Take it apart and clean everything real good. Take the carb.off flip it upside down take the bowl off take the brass jets out and clean with carb. cleaner and a piece of wire. Pull the pin out that holds the float on and remove the needle valve and spray the hole with cleaner along with everything else, don't forget to spray the passage holes that you can see in the throttle body. P.s. welcome to the forum

You might try running some Sea Foam through the tank first to see if that help before terring apart the carb.

Sounds like your slow or low idle jet is dirty. Carb cleaner and a small enough wire to get into the jet ports to clean them.
