hi, if i get an fmf power core 4 for my 2006 trx250ex and i re-jet the carb, will there be any defects i will get to anything else on my atv? and how much louder is it then the stock exhaust?

Will it cause problems with something else? Not likely. Honda builds an excellent machine well capable of handling the minor power increases brought about by switching exhaust systems.

Remember to get a better air filter too. UNI makes a great product for that application. K&N too, but they require lots more maintenance.

Noise increases will be for sure with the performance exhaust, how much and how significant is up to you to decide. Look up the manufacturers info to see what the decibels will be with that system. a powerful sound is good, but don't go loud for loudness' sake

Keep in mind that what you DON'T want to be is that annoying jackass with the ridiculously loud exhaust that can be heard all over the riding area and that scares the wildlife, pisses off the neighbors and gets the law involved...or worse causes land closures

 

i was thinking of just puting a slip on exhaust. will it make it a lot louder? i dont want it to loud

 

Absolutely every aftermarket muffler is louder than stock! The PC4 is on the loud side. I always run the QuietCore in mine, which helps.

Defects???? Millions of quads have aftermarket exhausts, and if properly jetted there will never be an issue.
