hey guys anyone out there know how hard it is to replace rear axle bearings. my local bike shop said they would do it for $60 dollars plus parts. is this a job that i should leave to pros or how hard is it. thanks agian

It's not hard but for $60, I'd be inclined to let him do it. Do you have to buy the parts from him at a price that's too high or can you bring your own parts? All the parts you need for a bearing change cost $35 at RM. If he's going to charge you $70 for parts, I'd say do it yourself.

thanks man right now hes looking at it and making a parts list hopefully i did shear my ring and pinion gears but that was just a quote he gave me we will have to see in the next few days how much it will turn out to be but thanks agian for the advice

I once had a guy replace a cam for me and he charged me $320. And I had the cam ! That's when I decided to never, EVER have someone work on my ATV again. If you're half good at wrenching stuff, do it yourself. ATV's are pretty simple.

yea i had to replace my swingarm bearings not to long ago too and it wasnt hard at all but if he can fix it and get it done for a cheap price ill probably just let him do it. ive had this recon since 03 when i bought it new and this and swingarm bearings are the only thing ive ever had to replace there bulletproof.
