Default shocks for a rancher 420

I have a 420 rancher 420,2007. It runs good. I run on hard packed trails, sand wash.We run at 25 MPH most of the time. Are any after market shocks made for this atv.I would like a soft ride.Gas shocks with valve for adj.? At the end of a day rideing ,40 miles or so my back it tore up! Well Im 52 years old-just, do not act like it,have as mush fun as I can!! Shocks??

Honda keeps its suspension tight, because if someone went and loaded the racks down with a bunch of weight, it would make the machine unstable if the shocks were mushy. Most other manufacturers don't seem to understand this important safety issue....and put mushy long travel suspension on their inherently unstable machines.

Still, Honda makes the most out of short travel suspension, and I certainly have no major complaints myself. The new models (2010), are however adjustable for preload, and that has been a long time coming! Might want to look for a set of those if you can't find anything else.

Try WorksPerformance. Their designs are far superior to others, becasue they use a ball valve design rather than wave washers! I have had a set of their shocks on my 400EX for a decade now, and I can still land huge jumps like landing on pillows. They have never needed to be serviced or rebuilt, in all that time!!!

The shocks are custom made, to your personal weight, riding conditions, riding style, and specifications. Tell them what you are looking for, and they will custom make them to suit you....

ATV and UTV Front & Rear Shocks

Note...there is a place here locally that will discount them compared to ordering direct from the factory....
