I just took some sand paper and sanded the tab and the bars down to metal. Now it starts just fine. No more problems. Good luck and enjoy. Jim
I really hope thats the prob with the 10 or so that I seem to be babysitting at the moment. I thought that the kill switch to ground is one of the things you DON'T want to work if trying to eliminate a no spark condition. Then again, the more I learn the less I know with these things. The only thing better would be a british lucas electrical system with a positive ground.

The way I read the wiring diagram the ground goes to the CDI. If it is not grounded the the CDI will not work. You just don't want it to connect to the black wire which is the KILL wire. The grounding to the handle bars on mine made a little contact sometimes. Would work 1 or 2 days then nothing. I'm still learning too. Only took me 2 years to figure this one out.
Good luck. Jim
