I have a 2005 Honda Rancher 420. Will the muffler come apart and if so can I repack it with something to make it quieter? Or maybe add to what's there?

 

If you want/need a quieter muffler the best ting to do is add one of these then you can remove it when not needed.

they didnt make a 420 in 2005 they started making them in 07

 

so I got a 2007 but that doesn't solve my problem I don't beleive

 

buying and installing the add-on silencer is your best option.

Normally I am an advocate for quieter performance exhaust systems, but don't hear too many folks wanting to run quieter than stock....are you making midnight runs or something?

I wish more people would make theirs quieter, I don't care for loud obnoxious ATVs, SxS and motorcycles.

 

I've heard good things about the Benz quiet rider. I think that's the route I'd go.

Loud machines really tend to cheeze off other trail users.
