The reverse override is the only override I've seen on any Polaris, which has nothing to do with the EBS. (BTW most other brands that I can remember riding have reverse overrides too.) Models with EBS it works all the time when off throttle, models without it have nothing.

I agree with many of your points, including the maintenance costs. And I get to ride alot of different quads too. We are lucky in that regard. Driven almost all the major makes and models. I can find good and bad in each.

I don't by the way, think Polaris makes the perfect ATV... No quad is perfect. I'd like to see them do away with the single lever braking, and move the ignition key anywhere else on the quad besides where it is now. Their quality control could be better, as some people have gotten total lemons, though I read enough on these forums to know that every company makes a turd now and then.

I also believe in horses for courses. Your quad does great for you, and so you love it. Here in Western NY, where tighter, rutted up and tree root infested woods trails are the norm, you would likely find a different ride better (Rincon perhaps), as SRA quads tend to high center easily where we ride here.

And if you look in the General ATV chat section, you'll notice I said some nice things about the Rincon over there. I don't dislike Honda, or any brand (except Arctic Cat, which I don't mind personally, but my lower back does not like) but I get aggravated by the constant Polaris bashing. Whenever someone on these forums has to MF a brand, they sh*t on Polaris. I've had really good luck with both of mine, and would not trade my XP for two Honda's, or two of any other make.

Specta, I'd like to have a beer and shoot the sh*t with you sometime. Too bad we're timezones apart. Have fun riding

Come on guys I know we are all prod of the machines we have put our hard earned money into tho I believe you are both correct in the fact you both found a machine that works great for your riding styles, just as I have with mine. NO machine is perfect as if it was we would ALL be riding the same one! I LOVE my machine as I feel it is perfect for me but will say this I would be proud to ride with either one of you on ANY terrain in ANY state! Happy trails!

CVT = POOP they work on snowmobiles because of friction issues you know they drag on the ground so shifting is kinda stoopid. I mean why arent motorcycles CVT? or hell my car? that would be awesome they work so good and are so so so reliable the mostest reliablest. I HATE the I pulled him out of the mud WOW!!! You big mud puller man.. well I went out 2 weekends ago and I went through a hole with a 300 honda 4x4 and that everyone got totally stuck in I'm not sure what that means EXCEPT I guess the 300 honda is the best damn mud atv ever!!!! lol I mean cmon with its 23 inch tires its easy to see why it's such a MUD beast!!! Just saying MUD performance is not a good indicator of performance really or I guess maybe when I go riding I don;t really try to hit the deepest hole out there to be honest I hate all the maintenance required when you drive in the mud and water all the time. I've seen all quads get stuck in all different stuff and seen the same quad go through a rediculous mud hole the same day it's alot of the drivers ability to control momentum and choose the right line. And on another note because this is a RANT! I hate the way all those giant mud tires totally ruin all the trails around my place I mean seriously deep *** ruts everywhere??? It's no wonder alot of land owners hate these damn atv's when you dig a 3 foot ditch across the backsides of thier fields!!! Anyway I'm at work and it's so nice out I'm just kinda grouchy!!! Seriously though it's not even the reliability that I hate about CVT is the way they feel they are always revving high they feel clunky! They aint right! You know why honda people are on a high horse?? Cuz they are reliable!! They work right day after day! Dood polaris and kawasaki can barely go a month without a complete overhaul!!! I mean the things that go wrong with them are things I've never heard of on a ATV half the time. I have seen a couple people with polaris have decent luck but kawasaki OMFG they should just quit making wheelers. I mean Jeez if someone buys a atv for the first time if they bought a bruteforce HOLY COW they are gonna think ATVs dont stay out of the shop!!! I say this because I've had one and my friend still has one and we HATE it!!! welp ive run my mouth enough and if I offended anyone i'm sorry but I SPEAK THE TRUTH!!!

When was the last time a non CVT utility ATV won a Mud run contest or a dead pull? If you think a 300 3wd was the best mud ATV ever you don,t get out much.

I takes power and awd to be a great Mud ATV, They do not even make a powerful non belt drive ATV, the 680 Rincon is the badest they have and it only makes 39hp and does not even have a low range, a 500 foreman could out work it.
How many CVT utiltities are there that have MUCH more power than 39hp? more than I can think of even a 500 and the new 550s.

Hmmm I guess honda and nissan wanna sell some belts it's a good idea to make some cash!! hehehe

So your argument that the CVT is flawed is you think it is "poop"?

Thats the message, because 95% of all utility atvs made are CVT and flawed that makes only the remaining 5% reliable.

You know this thread might never end!! You know what I'm done lol argueing is fun YOU KNOW IT IS!!!! what they need to do is drop some CVT's in some MX quads THEY ROCK!!!
