Honda has never been the most powerful ATV. Ever. They are not interested in just having the most HP.

My Rincon is at the low end of HP for the big bores, and I could care less. The bigger bores cannot go anywhere I cannot. I have never needed to lock the fron diff. And I have been able to keep up with anyone I ride with. So, I make no apologies for Honda. You either love them or want to ride something bigger.

Of course, I have ridden with some people that go out and spend all kinds of money on the newest ATV and best gadgets but can't get out of their own way. Just saying, Pick an ATV that you like and fits your riding style. The "who's better" arguments are useless because it is different for every single rider.

At least honda knows enough not to used a OHC motor in there sport ATVs or Motorclycles I just do not get why they put lower reving OHC motors in there Utility ATVs only.

Honda has a great 650 OHV single in there XR650 why not throw that into a Foreman?

I think honda has the motor tuned just right for typical atv riding.. they rev low are easy to handle. they feel very docile and indestructable..I feel like i can almost enjoy the ride more because the motor isnt cooking my legs.. there isnt fans blowing non stop.. and they arent making any crazy chattering noises..

I dunno I havent ridden since late october.. I'm basically losing it =(

I will primarily be on the trail's carrying the wife from time to time, but am not afraid to play in the mud if the oportunity arises. Horsepower, Handling & Reliabilty are probably the most important to me. A friend of mine work's at a Honda dealership and is pulling me toward's the Honda Rincon 680...the price is attractive but I've gotten very mixed review's when looking into this model. I'm very opened minded to any brand....preferbly 700 or bigger. Any recomendation's/comment's would be great!
I know this is an old thread, but what did you end up buying? I'm in the same boat, and found several good points in this thread. Just curious which direction you went.
