what do you guys think, is this a good deal? its a 2005 TRX 400EX for $2400. the only aftermarket part is has is white brothers exhaust. it looks in pretty good condition. but i want to know if you think its worth it

Used ATV to me are more about condition,and miles. An 02 ATV in mint shape is worth more to me than a 06 in good shape.

 

good point i asked him how many miles and hours it had on it.

 

souns like a good deal. Although I did just buy an 06 450 with about 10 hours in it and not one scuff for $2,000. There are bargains out there, just be very thorough in your search.

 

i just got to look at it and drive it and it seems pretty nice, it runs well, idles well, and seems in pretty good condition. the rear tires have vary little ware on then but the fronts are about half worn down.

If this is the case, the rear's have been replaced. Rear tires almost always wear out before the fronts. If it's in good shape, $2400 is an ok price. I looked at an 08 for $2000 once. I couldn't believe how beat that thing was. It wasn't worth $1200. I thought "Man, what kind of guy can beat a quad this bad in a few years?" It needed rear bearings, all tires, steering bearing, seat, front plastic, battery, front brakes, clutch lever, air box, handlebars were bent, it had obviously been rolled hard, and in general, it was a mess. I walked away shaking my head in disbelief.

 

yeah the rears were replaced last year.
