Dissapointed in the quality of Honda plastic!

I can understand from the point of view that you spend all that money and you want it to stay looking good, c'mon guys! We are talking about ATV's. Anything you ride in dirt, mud, snow and sand will be scratched regardless! Quit treating it like a Lexus(from previous post)and get out there and ride it. If you are so worried about the scratches, just drain the gas and oil and put a plexy glass box over it that way you can still enjoy the view of your investment. I have to admit that I was the same way when I first bought my quads but it wears away real quick. My father-in law is so **** retentive that it is not funny. Someday i hope that he will ease up on his cleanlyness fetish and learn to live with scratches.

newdsowner, you certainly make a good point. However, I have a Husky chainsaw with a plastic finish that's orange and shiney. The finish is tough and it has retained it's original gloss even though it's been put through the wringer.
I maintain that Honda could make their ATV plastic a little tougher w/o giving up much pliability.

I agree with you on that, but then there would be no market for companies that make product like "Plastic Renew". I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather have scratched plastic than shiny brittle plastic. I just hope my DS plastic holds up like EX plastic has. I bought my EX brand new and the only plastic I broke was the nose piece. That happened because I was pushing my Father-in-laws Polaris Trail Blazer up this rocky hill since it bogged out on him. Other than that, I have had some serious crashes on that quad and nothing has broke.(As far as plastic) Well a nice weekend coming up, everyone get out and ride hard and come back and tell some good stories. newdsowner.
