Spray with "Simple Green", allow to soak as I get out the power washer. Remove the seat and wash good. To finish off the plastic, I use "Orange Pledge" or "Plexus".
If I want a good wax (for a parade or show) I use "Ice" wax. You can use it on all the plastic and will not leave any white residue.

What do you guys use to get the dirt and mud stains off your engine and transmission. I've tried simple green, pressure washer, and many other strong cleaners and nothing seems to touch it.

I know acid appearently works well, but what kind and where do I buy it.

Will acetone from the paint section work?

My neighbor uses the tire stuff..." Bleche-Wite" on his 500 Foreman after a muddy ride. And this is after it sits a few days.

Sprays it on, let's it soak a few minutes then rinses it off.
