The raptor 700 is alot heaver that the 400 ex.I have a 400 and out ride most raptors in the trails. They turn better and are less weight but are faster in the open. Also if you want a 700 look into the honda 700.

Something to think about....
Fast to you means motor.
Fast to me means suspension.
Any machine will need suspension improvements.
Honda all the way..A 400 w/shocks is more than enough machine for 99% of the riders in here. And it'll handle awsome.
If ya have aboat and need an anchor, get the Yam...LOL

According to there specs the 700 Raptor it lighter (396lbs) then the 400ex (410lb), and everyone knows a a 700cc is much faster then a 400cc . it just comes to reason when one has 47 hp and the other is 34hp. come on.http://quads.ca/bb/viewtopic.php?p=5...e0528bcd3e027e

even if the 700 was 200 more lbs then a 400 with its power advantage it would stilll be much faster. My SP500 is 100lb heavier then a 500 Foreman but still much faster ,weigh does not factor as much as horse power.

you sir, are an idiot. (hp means more then weight?) have you ever heard of power to weight ratio? so you're saying even if the raptor was 200 pounds heavier, simply because it has more speed youd take that instead?
to the poster, a 400ex is a nice step up in power and suspension, its 10mph faster then a 300. a 660 raptor doesnt handle as well as a 400ex, but is faster. stock for stock, the diffrence is greater between a 300ex and 400ex then a 400ex and 660 raptor... plan on atleast a pipe with a raptor or you'll be thinking (THIS is a 660??)

I,m sure the 700 Raptor's 15hp advantage will make up the its12lbs weight disadvantage easily. The 600lb 700 Grizzly would smoke a 400ex.

hp hp hp SPEED! SPEED! is that all you care about? and i doubt a 700 grizzly would "smoke" a 400ex, not that it matters as much as the TOTAL package
