Has anyone ever seen these two quads riding side by side to compare acceleration and top speeds?

 

I would imagine that the 250ex would have both the better acceleration and top speed from its 10% increase in power over the recon and lighter weight.

I think the 250ex would smoke a recon. That's what I think.

 

I have a Recon and I have a friend that just bought a new 250 EX. We are going to compare quads in a few days. We are going to do things like drag, hill climbing and water. I'll let you know how things went.

I had a 1999 recon and just bought a 250ex there is a big difference. It is lighter and stronger and even though the recon is strong the 250ex will pull a pretty good wheelie in second. It seems a little stiff. And the seat is a hard as a rock. but it seems like a good all around trail machine.
