2004 rancher 350 TE im having problems with electronic shift . its not shifthing on the gear selection meter it keep blinks when i try to push the gear select button it doent do anything it flashes every 3 times i guess it mean some kind of code just like old honda cars i used to work on it happen after i replace the battery it was sitting up for 2 yrs do have any idea

 

Sounds like the shift angle sensor is bad. This was a common problem with the electric shift hondas. It is located on the lower front of the motor next to the electric shift servo motor under a small metal guard.
