95 TRX300 Weak spark and only sparks when you let off starter button. Would this be a CDI box? or possibly rectifier/regulator? TIA JIM

 

try a new cdi box a friend of mine had this same problem last winter we went through the complete wireing system on his and i found a good cdi box that 300 fired right up and has been running like a champ. it done the same thing as yours is doing.

 

Yes cdi.. Honda had an recall on all 1995 trx300's and early year 1996 trx300's... They had cdi made by an differtance company and that company made the ground wrong.... The cdi wouldnt fire until starter button was released..... New cdi will fix this problem.....
