Default Half shaft removal HELP.

This is about an Eiger but I've recieved no help in the SUZUKI forum. And Ive owned many Hondas in my day. nothing beats a Honda. I would own one now if I hadnt gotten such a good deal on this EIGER. I paid $1800.00 for it- I'll tell ya what, it's great all around - awesome shape with less than 480 miles. I was very lucky to get it at that price. Highway robbery. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could help me on this...

I've got my right side axle torn down to the point I'm trying to pull the half shaft out of the 'green egg' thing that's up close to the differential. Any advice on how to get it out and replace it? I pull on it seems like there is a pin or washer in there. Keeping it from coming out.

I bought an entire half shaft to replace it cause the boot on the outside pulled back and messed up the bearings. I was looking at the one I bought to replace it with and It's straight splines with a small grove in it towarwds the end of the shaft.

How does it come out? When I replace it how does it go back in??

Everyone you guys rock - thanks so much for any input and help!!

I watched a guy do it one time and he just yanked it hard and fast and it poped right out...not sure if its the same but I asked him if that was normal and he said thats how most of them come out... Putting back in was the same he just shoved it back in..
