Default 2005 Rubicon starter

I have a 2005 Rubicon that needs a new starter. I was figuring on buying a oem starter since I know someone that can get me a discount. I looked on ebay and they have starters around $80 vs. $110 for a oem starter not counting the discount. The ebay starter would still be cheaper even counting the discount.

I realize that the starters on ebay are not oem and I was thinking that they might be junk. Am I right on this? Has anybody ever bought a starter from ebay and how did it hold up? Should I just stick with the oem starter?

I have about 8700 miles on the Rubicon and so far this will be my third starter. Should the starters hold up longer than that? If I did buy one from ebay, would it only last as half as long as an oem starter and end up spending more in the long run.

I haven't bought a starter from anyone on Ebay but I did buy a starter for my 2001 Rubicon from a company online called DB Electrical they provided good service and the starter has worked fine for quite a while now. Its a least another place to compare prices.

TLC, have you ever bought anything from that site? Do you have any idea what shipping would be? How is the customer service?

A few friends of mine have ordered some parts from them and it was all good, standard shipping cost. They have a toll free number I think if you want to talk to them first.
