Default bought my first rincon- you honda guys have any...

favorite mods to kick these 05 650 rincons up a notch?

I had to sell my 08 outlander 800 to pay bills- had enough money left over to buy this 05 rincon 650. Nice ride but I keep looking for that white knuckle can-am pull. I know I'll never achieve rotax 800 efi pull from a honda 650 carb but I figure you honda guys must have a few mods that have worked out well for you.

It came with an aftermarket HMF ECOSystem silencer which is a little too noisy for me- so I'll be looking to swap with someone for a stock silencer.

Tell ya what I wont miss from the outty- the leg burning cvt clutch housing or constant whirling sound at idle- I love the honda tranny. I'll miss the disk brakes, front locking diff and engine brake, but the thought of never having to deal with a cvt again makes me cream!

I know- there was an 06 680 rincon for sale next town over for $4900, if I only had another $1k I would've bought it.

Is "insane" a good or bad thing in regards to cvt?

I bought a stock 05 rincon 650 on monday for $3k - sold it the following day for $4500 - Then went out and bought another 05 Rincon 650 with a ton of aftermarket parts in mint shape yesterday for $4k - I loved flipping atv's and making money- (you'll noticed I said "loved" - my wife finally put her foot down - all 7" of it and won't give me the title to my new rincon. say's I have to keep this one... ) ok with me- the more I ride this rincon, the more I like it. Things vibrate like crazy tho!

Only thing I would do to it is pull off the front brake drums clean them out adjust them and regrease the seals.. I find the drum brakes work good if you maintain them once and a while and don't sit around parked in 2 feet of muddy water all the time.

Hey- do you pull out the drum plug to allow drainage, or keep the plug in and hope it won't fill with water? Seems like if I remove the plug, the brakes will have air keeping them dry- whereas if I keep the plug in, moisture will corrode the caliper and pads...
