the crank went out on my 450r so i took it to a local shop to let them fix it bc i dont have time wit school and work. i got it back and it runs good but its smoking white out the exhaust. i took it back and told them to fix it but does anyone have a idea wat the problem could be? thanks

 

white smoke can be a bad head gasket. only if its coupled with disappearing coolant, milky colored oil. lucky for you, they messed it up and not you, because if it was you, you would have to tear back into it again... fun fun

yea i bet there is a lot of money into your wheeler, especially now that you had to have them put a crank in it. i have an 05 that i traded my 400ex for. i didnt do any reasearch on the crank issues the 04-05s have. so far so good though, no metal shavings in the oil filter. im hoping it will hold out just long enough so i can save up some money and trade her in for a 07+, as the 06's were haveing some crank issues as well. not very honda-like. good luck with your 450r

 

yea 900 just for the crank and labor and mine is a 05 to and i love it to death dont think ill ever get rid of it
