well i got an 01 250 ex run good just the other day i ran it out of gas and put more gas in it and it wouldnt start i cleaned the carb and it still wont start it will just grind and grind any help

 

Check the tube that runs from the top of the gas cap to inside the handlebars. If that is kinked, then your 250ex will not work. Thats all I can think of

 

what do you mean it just "grinds and grinds"? is the motor turning over? if its an actual grinding sound then something is messed up with your starter, or your battery could be very low. if its just turning over and over, you could have some debris in your gas tank not allowing it to get fuel. you could have a bad spark plug. what does your air filter look like?

 

kevin 773 i dont have a tube on the top of the gas cap so no problem there and i mint the motor is turning over ill check the spark plug air filter looks okay i might just go ahead and clean it or buy a new one thanks
