1986 Honda TRX 250R. How much should I try and sell it for?
In May of last year my dad died and I inherited his 1986 Honda TRX 250R. I'd like to keep it but I need money and have no use for a quad anymore.
When I got it I started it up and it ran great and started in the first few kicks. A few weeks later I tried to start it and it wouldnt start and I noticed the ignition coil had a gash in it and the wire was mostly cut. I ordered a new one and installed it, but then it still wouldn't get a spark.
So I'm wondering what I should do now. Any ideas as to what the problem could be? I don't have much mechanical knowledge so I'm not sure what to look at or do.
I want to try and sell it when Spring comes along so I'm wondering what should I ask for a 1986 TRX250R that has some starting system problems?
Here it is:
It's in pretty good shape. It needs new rear tires but other than that and the ignition system it is in good condition.
Thanks,
Coby

On a personal note, I sold my stock, running, 86' TRX250R for $2,100 last year, and really struggled to find a buyer. I was originally asking $2,700. The bad economy in my area did not help.
