Keep that 400ex because it will be worth a lot of money being the only one that can beat a Raptor in a drag race.I guess it also can smoke Banshees,2509Rs and DS650s also.I always thought all those Magazines were lying about the Raptor being much quicker than a 400ex but I did not think every last one of them was so wrong.

 

Haven't raced in 250r's or ds's but when we all lined up i beat every banshee out there as well. The raptors beat 'em all too. One was all stock and another just had pipes.

Whatever. Why is everyone so concerned about which bike will beat which in a drag race? It doesn't mean anything. I went riding Saturday with 5 other 400's and 3 Raptors and a Banshee. I stomped them all in the woods. Why? Because I'm a better rider, not b/c of my Quad. Now, a couple of the boys that were riding with us would stomp me on an MX track. Why? Because they are better MX riders than me. There is a lot more to being a great Quad than straight away speed.

I'll admit that I prefer the feel of a Honda. Never have liked the way a Yamaha felt or handled. It's personal preference, but I'll always feel more comfortable on a Honda unless one of the other manufacturers come up with something revolutionary.

 

I guess you have not been reading the above posts,the 400ex will beat everyone in the straight line drag races as well.I have also been told the because it is lighter it can go any where a 4x4 can go as long as it has the momentum.It is also better on the track and woods trails there is just no place this quad can be beat.Honda does not want to make a 650ex because the 400ex will just kill it!

 

I agree. I like to win on ability. Tired of hearing guys say their shee's can beat my Raptor "on this other forum." I just let them spout off cause all they do is shoot up and down a hill. I've owned a few bikes, not to many! I just tell them I suck at riding. Give them a little confidence booster.

 

LOL sandgod!I just want to see how my bike does.I don't care if I win or not.I also just want to see a raptor in action.I don't reply to post like this to much because I don't want poeople to get mad.One thing I have noticed is that there is not nearly as much bashing on here any more!And no 400ex's won't beat everything(as you know)but people like to think they can.That is alright too.I am not saying that this didn't happen but I really don't care.I love it when i beat some body with a lesser qaud then they are on!

 

Aaron10, you are delusional. I ride with a 400EX, and it is better at a number of things than a Raptor, but in the speed department it is not even remotely close. You can't believe anyone who says that the EX isn't that much slower because I, and alot of you also, have ridden Banshee's, Raptors, and 400EX's and know that there is definately a big difference. Going down roads I pull up along side it, slow down to go the same speed and then wheelie right past it. You also beat Banshee's u say, some with pipes? Either you are talking out your a$$, or you own a totally possesed EX and u deserve to have an episode of the X files dedicated to your machine.

Maybe we should get together next Saturday at St. Joe and see how your stock 400ex beats 440's. A couple of weeks ago some kid tried to convince me that his 400 was stock. I was only beating him by 2 or 3 lenghts in 600'. There is no way a stock 400 with only a pro meg e-series is gonna have 35-38 hp. That wasn't you was it Ugly.

Well considering i don't even have a 400ex I doubt it was me.And I haven't been to t joe in about a year!So no it wasn't me.ANd don't think I am saying my 250r is faster than any bodies bike i just want to see how it does.Hey pudjumper My house is right at the 174b exit where you get of 55 onto 67 and I got a place to race if you are feelin froggy!
