I have an 02 rubicon that wont shift to any gear but first and reverse. I was blowing fuses butr seemed to find the short (wire rubbing on the frame). Now it wont shift. No flashing, no code, no clue. Should I follow the wire that was rubbing to see where it goes?

 

anyone? I see a bunch of post about similar situations, the only difference is I am not getting any codes. When I turn it on in neautral it displays either d1,d2, or esp. Then when I engage it into drive all three are on the display and it wont shift into second gear. Any suggestions.

 

Here is the service manual MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service I would do the tests for the mode select switch and the gear position switch. Since they aren't flashing I'm really not sure.
