4 Wheel ATV mag?
#1
I just heard of this magazine through a link from Dirt Wheels mag. Ive never seen this magazine at a store, but judging by their website it didnt look that bad so I went ahead and subscribed. Could someone please tells me how this magazine stacks up against DirtWheels?

They are both owned by Hi-Torque publications. They run the same exact articles, they just space them a month apart, and word them a little differently. The pictures are nice, but the articles are crap. They over analyze all the quads that they evaluate, and tell you stuff no average joe would care about. They are also happy to tell you about the the new $4,000 kit that will add two HP to your quad.

Ditto Lotus.
I'm an average joe and I care what they analyse. And I'm still trying to figure out what "overanalysing" means, and how that's bad. Maybe they should just do silly drag races--is that all your typical ATV crush-beer-can-on-forehead joe cares about?
4 Wheel ATV Action seems to sugarcoat their evaluations less than DirtWheels--more to the point.

Since both mags are owned by Hi-Torque, I wish they would designate one as "mag for high performance quads" and the other as "mag for quads with racks and farm vehicles".
There is nothing wrong with utility quads, I would rather have one of those than nothing at all, high performance atv's are just what I'm into. I hate having to spend over $40.00 a year for two mag subscriptions to get enough atv high performance reading. I dont care how much hay a utility quad can haul on its racks, or how big a trailer it can tow, This info would be usefull to some, which is why I think it would be nice to see the two mags designate themselves to one or the other. Does anyone else feel the same about this subject? Take care, Bryan

Pacrat: You should check out ATV Sport Magazine. They wouldn't even think of writing an article about a quad with racks.
Gooch: What I meant was, these mags seem to make a big deal out of one quad having an 1/8" more suspension travel than another quad, and other stuff that most people don't care about. The majority of quads sold are utility models. The average utility rider doesn't care that his quad tops out at 5300 rpms, rather than 5275 rpms. Most people that buy a utility model want reliability, and a smooth ride, along with ease of use.
