Default Motor Oil for 07 Rancher

What kind of motor oil should be ran in this machine. I have been using QS 5w-30. Let me know.

Your fine with that, the lower the first number(5w) means it good for cold weather cold starts,The second number(30) means how it it works with the motor running hot, the higher the better in that case.

I like 0w-40 because it does it all but I think it only comes in Synthetic. Just make sure its motorcycle grade for wet clutches. Like Amsoil 0w-40. Its not on the chart but you get what I mean if it was there.

I've been happy with Valvolie 10w40 ATV oil.

I may true to find some of that valvoline atv oil. Who carries that? The town we go to is not a big town but it has a wal mart, autozone, napa. Thanks.

I run Shell Rotella synthetic 5w-40 in all our atvs....as well as my motorcycle. It's readily available at Walmart.

It's also rated JASO-MA for motorcyle/wet clutch use.

N2 has formulated an oil especially for ATV's and their wet clutch applications. You won't find a better oil. Check it out here.
