this is for farm use,no mods, worker came in and said it will not start about a week ago

K! do you have another atv just like this one or no someone that does? you may want to check or change out the alarm box up front under front fender, it will be the smaller of the boxes, may have an stick lodged in connector or wire broke shuting down the silonold, when you used the brake lever and pedal it overriding the starting circuit! Keep us updated! Good Luck...

wont start
still cant find answer to problem, think it might be faulty icm. code 5 comes up ocassionaly, pull plug and codes dissapear. when codes appear can,t put in gear at all. called 2 honda dealers and questioned them, they said they have never heard the problem. don,t know if i beleive that or not.

All the brake switches do is let power from the ignition switch go to the rear bulbs, so either the slight drop in voltage is causing the CDI to start working properly or you have a bad connection and the power is feeding the opposite way through the bulbs and brake switches. A diode is fitted in the neutral light circuit, strange faults occur if that is faulty.
