Go to the mndnr website and scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the DNR community forum. Sign in as a guest and you can see the forum but not post. Sign up and you can join in. I would suggest lurking for a while to get the hang of things and see who posts there, it is usually the same people, but have gotten a few new ones lately. There is a lot of name calling but we just got warned by the moderator to calm down a bit. So if you post please try to remain decent, we don't want the ATV conference taken away. Come join and have some fun, a really great group of pro-atv people.

here is the reply I got from Sen. Jim Vickerson. It looks like he is on our side.
Thank you for your note. I always appreciate hearing the concerns of my
district. I have and will continue to support legislation that allows equal access to state
recreational lands for all Minnesotans. It is important to use and maintain these recreational areas
responsibly, and I believe that we are accomplishing that without new, more restrictive legislation.
Thank you for providing your opinion on this matter. It is important to
know how these issues affect us in rural Minnesota. If you have any more
questions, feel free to contact me.

Here is the reply I just got from the chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Committee, at least she read it. I"m beginning to think this emailing of them has at least some impact on there opinions on this bill.
Thank you for contacting my office. I appreciate hearing
from you. I read my own email because I really like to know
first-hand what my constituents, and Minnesota citizens in
general, are concerned about.
However, due to the overwhelming amount of email I receive
daily, it is difficult to respond in a detailed fashion. I just wanted to
acknowledge that I read your message and appreciate hearing from you.
If you need specific information, please feel free to call my
legislative assistant, Chris Runquist, at 651-296-7061.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with me. I appreciate
your input.
Cordially,
Sen. Jane Krentz
District 51
Chair, Environment and Natural Resources Committee

I went to the Legislatures website, read the proposed bill, Then called my representative. She, Kathy Tinglestad, said she has been swayed to vote against the bill by input from ATVer's.
I printed out the bill and took it to local ATV dealers to inform them and let them inform customers. I got a mixed response, most knew nothing about the bill. BUT,after listening to me they said they would "do what they could" to oppose the bill.
Information is critical guys and gals...Let other riders know and get them involved. As I told my rep., it is land run by my taxes. AND alot of taxes too!!! So as long as it's public land we have a right to use it along with the bird watchers and hikers.
