slips

my 07 rancher slips out of 3rd gear when I tow a load (clutch prob). I was told bolt and screw needs to be tightened behind left cover on front part of engine. Anyone know how much?

A slipping clutch is different than it popping out if gear. I don't think it's a clutch.

turning screw counterclockwise until resistance and then 1/4 turn clockwise fixed problem.
