i have a 4 stroke 86 trx 250 and accidentlly last week i ran it with fuel off and so it stalled itself out after a few minutes. Since then it refuses to start - i wonder if some rubbish or somehting has been sucked into the carb - woudl appreciate any advice

I can get it started usign an "easy start" spray but this only runs for 30 secs then stops again and will only work once or twice. Is there a carb drain screw or inline filter i shoudl be checking?

 

Try taking the air filter out and stuff a rag in the intake hole, open the throttle and crank it, or use your hand to cover the intake with and run the throttle with a knee while cranking. I find that sometimes when they run clear out of fuel, it takes a little help to get the jets primed up and sometimes if there is a little debris in a jet it will pull it through.
