i have a 2002 rancher 350es, i had to change the battery and now when i try to start it with the ele starter the solenoid clicks and thats it. i just bought a new solenoid and changed it and its doing the same thing--yesterday i also had problems with the shifter not wanting to shift gears--any help with this would be great

 

Have you doubled checked your connections? Especially the main connections to the battery and solenoid? A clicking solenoid is a sign of a low battery and/or loose, dirty connections.

What kind of battery did you install and if it's one you add acid too.......did you charge it properly before you installed it?
