Who cares how fast they top out at.I guess if you use it to get to work on the freeway it might matter,Sure it would be cool to know,but how often do you use your top speed?

 

Ever ride at Pepsi Pit? I met a guy down there last year who said he was clocked at 68mph in the quarter at some dragstrip in South NJ. Hey Reddog400ex, how big are your Realators, depending on the size they might be slowing you down. My friend put 22's on his 400ex and he said they slowed him up, but they worked great in the snow.

 

yeah, i live like 5 miles from there.. how far away r u from pepsi?? me and my friend go there all the time.. i heard it is gettin torn down though.. i think that they already knocked all the jumps down b/c of a new owner.. he doesnt want n e one ridin there n e more.. i havent been there in a while so i couldnt tell you.. my friend said that they tore every jump down.. but o well,,

 

I live right next to Milan Dragway and I will be taking my quad there many times this summer. I normally race sand drags on my Tecate 4, but I want to play with the 400EX. The 400EX will be a project. The 400 is stock now (minus foot gards) but I will post new reults with each mods. Firts will be bone stock. Then I will run with slicks. After that I plan to experiment with mods. This is just a project. I may even take my T4 down their, but that is sop modded I don't have a very good comparison.

 

When I have run the quad I will post E.T. and MPH in the quarter mile. I will even scan the time slip for any debuters. A NHRA track will not be off in MPH so eventually you may have proof what modds do. Also pavment is the best acuracy for top speed checks.

 

elevation has alot to do with it. closer to sea level the faster you will go.

 

Danyeo I have 22x12x10 on the 400ex Do you think the tires are slowing it down that much.. I also put in the 160 main jet and pumped up the tires and I only gained 1 MPH according to the GPS. The EPE was at 23 ft again.
