need help fast with 98 300ex

I have a 98 trx300ex..it has a 250x motor with a 300 cylinder on it. The wiring to the magneto is for a 250x and its different then the wireling for 300ex. My question is if they can be joined together and if the cdi for the 300 will work for the 250 since theyre so much a like. Thanks for the help

If it don't simply plug in, then I'd say no.
I know that 250R's CDI's all looked the same but they were different for different years.
Can't get the 250x CDI?

so i went ahead and bought the 250x wiring harness. so my wheeler is supposed to have a 250 bottom with a 300 jug. the bottom has 4 wires coming from the magneto and the wiring harness has 6. Im super confused about this. ive done alot with four wheelers but this is my first with a honda and wiring. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i figured out where the other two wires go from the 6 off the wire harness. 4 go to the stator and 2 go to the reverse switch. i have it wired up down at the stator and jumped the recerse switch by hooking the gray and gray/black wires together that went to the reverse switch. but still no spark. there is no key switch so i bought a kill switch for it but dont know which wires to hook it to. there is a green wire cut but with further searching i think i discoverd that is a ground and hooked it to the frame. so does anybody know what the color of the wires are that hook up the the kill switch?
