I've been looking at some exhaust systems for the 300ex. I think I will go with the supertrapp IDS2 or white bros. pro meg. I dont think they make a E-SERIES for the 300ex(am I wrong?).

my question is; the supertrapp comes with the headpipe and the white bros. doesnt, but the white bros. is more expensive how come? is the white bros. really that much better? do I really need a head pipe with no engine mods?

I plan on running with the outerwears air box lid and stock filter, can I get just the main jet without spending $45 on the K&N jet kit?

thanks for any help

I got a poweroll headpipe for $75, it really helps out with an aftermarket pipe. I like my Big Gun, it seems to be more of a top end oriented exhaust, but thats ok with me.

Yes, White Brothers makes a E-series pro meg and you can buy the White Brothers works head pipe seperately. I would get the Head pipe its adds alot more horse power because it is a bigger diameter then the thin stock pipe.It is a lot lighter than stock exhaust system, and it adds alot more horsepower and most of all it sounds great. But when you put it on make sure you rejet it right or it will be hesitant and back fire and you wont get the maximum horse power potential out of the pipe.

thanks guys,
the thing is, I want to try and keep the costs under $300. I can get the supertrapp with headpipe for $239. the white bros. silencer is $269, and headpipe is $80. then I still need to re-jet, and the air box lid is $15.

sux being on a budget!

I have the ids2 on my 300 and i love it. Not too loud like some of the other pipes but much more aggressive sounding than stock.
It did make a pretty good power increase too.

You don't need to buy a $45 jet kit. Just put a #128, or #130 main jet in it. I run a #132 with a WB pipe, wholy airbox lid, and 350x intake tube.

If you want the best pipe for your quad and are not worried about how loud it is, buy a TC pipe!

If noise is a concern, then you can get a Supertrapp Shorty Pipe which is very similar to TC's.....

My third choice would be a Yoshimura full system.
