I am all for the new Rubicon, but I hope they make a manual shift version as I like shifting.. And to be truthful quite unsure about compresson breaking on the hondamatic, is this thing going to downshift as soon as you let off the gas? Sounds that way on the other post.. I sometimes like to feewheel down a hill in 5th when keeping quite hunting or to compresson break while rageing with friends, I herd about the ESP letting you shift but I perfer a dual range 5 speed. Just my 2 cents, Joe

The way I heard it, the side-mounted shifter has a D and an L for 2 different gearsets. When you choose the ESP mode, it will work in either D or L, so basically you have your dual-range. Also, the compression braking is supposed to feel the same as if you let off the throttle on a standard trans. Anyway, why would you wan to free-wheel?
